List or Alternative Media Broker

Conrad Direct has an opening for one or more experienced Brokers. Most of our current clients are in the alternative health and political markets. We would prefer to add Brokers who work in other markets but are happy to talk with any experienced Broker.

Conrad is a privately owned company and intends to remain one. Regarding the consolidation trend in the industry, we are not interested in being acquired and will stay under current ownership. The owners are the original founders (Jerry Gould and Barbara Schonwald) plus key senior executives. The average employee tenure is more than nine years. Conrad Direct has been in business since 1981 and enjoys an excellent reputation for both quality of work and industry ethics. We are an entrepreneurial company that encourages our people to grow and develop to their fullest. In addition to list management and brokerage, we provide broader agency services to a number of for-profit clients, and you and your clients would have access to these services as needed.

Compensation is typically salary plus profit-sharing and incentives for new business, but we are open to straight commission if that suits you better. There is no predetermined compensation for these positions; it will depend on the amount of business you bring to Conrad. We have a competitive benefits package.

The technology systems are ahead of the curve and include an online emailable list recommendation system plus access to one or more standard industry data card resources.

Our northern NJ office is pleasant and comfortable, and easily accessed by car from Rockland and Westchester counties, the Bronx, Manhattan North and the Upper West Side. For parents with young children or others with special situations, we are open to limited flex-time arrangements, which some current employees enjoy.

We are also willing to talk with a Broker from outside our area who would work on straight commission from a home office.
