Jerry started Conrad Direct in 1982 (with his wife Barbara Schonwald) after having worked in the direct marketing industry for a number of years, including a two-year stint at a large mailing list brokerage company. Back then, a few skeptics said that wasn’t long enough to learn how to “do it right” as a list broker. But after twenty-plus years of hard-won success at Conrad, Jerry says the proof is in the porridge, and “I hope the porridge tastes just fine.”
